Calling all independent readers, its that time of year again! Are you ready to give up TV and video games, cold turkey?! If you want to take a break from TV, DVDs and video games 'gobbling' up all of your time, take part in our Go Cold Turkey Week. Sign the pledge (Registration is October 24 - November 12) and enjoy all of the programs we have for you from November 13 - 19.
Go Cold Turkey Week Poster Contest
This year to celebrate Go Cold Turkey Week the Children's room will hold a poster contest. Posters will be on display in the Children's room and anyone can vote for their favorite. In order to cast their vote please donate a nonperishable food item with a ballot featuring the posters number. To help get participants started we will hold a poster workshop this Saturday at 2:00 pm in the children's room. We will have all the supplies ready for you to work your creative magic! The Poster workshop and contest are for Go Cold Turkey Week participants.
Halloween Parade
This Halloween was a 'ghoulish' good time. Thank you to all that participated and enjoyed the scary afternoon with us! Here are some great highlights from the day!
